Boarding Homes in Wyoming

Boarding Homes in Wyoming, now numbering only 12, were the pioneers within the state for Assisted Living. In June of 2001, the Wyoming state legislature revised and updated the rules in Wyoming and implemented not only a Medicaid Waiver, but also established the Assisted Living designation. The Boarding Home designation as retained, allowing those facilities in existence to continue providing the valuable service the seniors of Wyoming had grown to expect.

Boarding Homes, in contrast to Assisted Living, do not provide any Nursing care, rather provides a welcome non-institutional setting with appropriate personal daily care and living spaces.
