Assisted Living Facilities in Wyoming
Assisted Living Facilities are licensed by the State of Wyoming. They are able to provide care for six or more seniors. The smaller facilities are home-like settings, where each individual is part of an extended family. Most have their own private rooms. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served family style in the dining room. The family room is usually set up with comfortable furniture, where residents can visit with each other and perhaps play some games.
The larger facilities offer studio or one bedroom apartments, a large dining room, sitting areas through-out the building, trips for shopping, doctor appointments and to some of the areas highpoints. They offer a lot of socialization for the residents who like involvement and fellowship. Care providers are available in both setting to offer help with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s), which include personal hygiene, mobility, eating, dressing, toileting, and behavior management. In addition they offer and coordinate a range of other personal services, i.e. medication management, dietary meals, and many more.
The social butterflies of days gone by, more than likely will feel more comfortable around other people and will be looking forward to the trips that are being offered – the senior with that type of personality tends to choose a larger facility. The homebody, who enjoyed making their house a home, tending their flowers and were content visiting with a couple of neighbors, might feel more at ease in a smaller home-like setting.
