Home Care Agencies
Home Care Agencies in the Nevada are licensed by the Department of Health and can be found through-out the State.
This great service enables seniors, the disabled and vulnerable individuals to remain in their homes. Home Care Agencies provide non-medical services such as personal care, homemaking, respite care and other non-medical services.
Personal Care includes assistance with dressing, feeding and personal hygiene to make self-care possible.
Through their Homemaking programs they assist with household tasks, housekeeping, shopping, meal planning and preparation and transportation.
They are also able to assist and support the family of a senior or disabled person with Respite Care. (i.e. short term care following surgery or illness while the primary care giver takes time off.)
Home Care Agencies perform many other chores and pleasantries for the seniors, such as reading to them, playing cards, making lists, sending out their mail and keeping them company.
Most Home Care Agencies do a great job matching the personality of the care provider/companion to the individual senior. |
