Assisted Living and Residential Care or Boarding Homes in Idaho
The Senior who loves to socialize, enjoys meals in a beautiful dining room and is looking forward to outings might enjoy living in an Assisted Living community, where they can offer additional help with some health care issues.

An "Assisted Living" facility/community in the State of Idaho is licensed as "Assisted Living and Residential Care."

These communities vary widely depending on area and population. In large cities they might operate only as a Boarding Home with a possible Alzheimer's/Dementia wing within the building. In a smaller community, retirement, assisted living and some dementia care might be offered within the same location on different floor levels or adjacent buildings. It is important to determine what types of services are provided, as they vary from facility-to-facility.

An Assisted Living facility offers both privacy and socialization. Generally, studios, 1-bedroom and a few 2-bedroom apartments are available. All meals, housekeeping, laundry services and some socialization programs are included in the monthly rent. The individualized care needed by a senior and provided by the staff is added as a care level charge.

During your tour in an Assisted Living Facility/Boarding Home you will be given a copy of the disclosure form that describes the care and services that the facility will offer.
