In-Home Care Service - Non Medical
This great service enables seniors, the disabled and vulnerable individuals to remain in their own homes. In-Home Care agencies provide non-medical services such as personal care, homemaking, respite care and other non-medical services. They can assist with dressing, feeding and personal hygiene to make self care possible.

Through their Homemaking programs they assist with household tasks, housekeeping, shopping, meal planning and preparation and transportation.

Home Care Agencies perform many other chores and pleasantries for the seniors, such as reading to them, playing cards, games, arts & crafts, making lists, sending out mail and keeping seniors company.

Most Home Care Agencies do a great job matching the personality of the care provider/companion to the individual senior, which is very important. All of us like to spend time with people whose personality we enjoy.

Check with the In-Home Care Service how they screen their employees prior to hiring and if they do a criminal back-ground check. Also ask what kind of training the care-givers have received and will they be able to update their training.

Arizona does not require home care agencies to obtain a specialized license.
