In-Home Care
In-Home Care agencies provide non-medical services, enabling seniors, the disabled and vulnerable individuals to remain in their own homes. Through their homemaking programs they assist with household tasks, housekeeping, shopping, meal planning and preparation and transportation.
Check with the In-Home Care agency whose additional services allow them to provide for the senior, medication reminders, personal care help with bathing, dressing and grooming.
In-Home Care agencies perform many other chores and pleasantries for the seniors, such as reading to them, playing cards, games, arts & crafts, making lists, sending out mail and keeping seniors company.

Most Home Care Agencies do a great job matching the personality of the companion/care provider to the individual senior, which is extremely important. All of us like to spend time with people whose personality we enjoy. Also check if a specific care provider can be assigned to your senior, once a good match is found.
Check with the In-Home Care agency how they screen their employees prior to hiring and if they do a criminal back-ground check; also ask what kind of training the care-givers have received and will they be on a continuous training schedule.

Arizona does not require home care agencies to obtain a specialized license.
